At the recently concluded 24th Shanghai International Lubricants and Application Technology Exhibition, the booth of Shanghai PanAn Testing & Engineering Co., Ltd. stood out as a distinctive highlight, drawing significant attention from professionals across the industry.
At this year’s exhibition, PanAn Testing went beyond showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies—it demonstrated a commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly practices. In a creative approach, the company repurposed discarded turf offcuts to construct a camping-themed area within the booth, offering visitors a relaxed space for conversation while conveying a strong message of environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
During the exhibition, PanAn Testing showcased a comprehensive range of industry-leading laboratory testing equipment.
Among the highlights was the CANNON 192-position solvent-free kinematic viscosity tester UltraVIS. This instrument requires no cleaning solvents or constant temperature baths and completes each test in just 3 minutes, significantly reducing both solvent and time costs. It offers strong support for efficient and environmentally friendly laboratory operations, making it an essential tool for green laboratories.
Additionally, PanAn Testing exhibited a series of instruments for oil condition monitoring (OCM), including the OilCMS by Spain’s Atten2. This versatile device supports both online and portable use, effectively eliminating bubble interference in conventional particle monitoring. It also features software-enabled particle size measurement and leverages big data analytics to accurately identify wear sources.
Austria-based Eralytics showcased its innovative solutions for oil condition monitoring with the eravisc combined viscosity and density analyzer, the eraflash micro-closed cup flash point tester, and the eraspec oil mid-infrared oil monitoring analyzer. These instruments require minimal sample volumes, offering new mobility solutions for oil analysis in the field. The eravisc analyzer completes viscosity and density testing in just 3 minutes using only 6 mL of sample; the eraflash flash point tester performs rapid, safe testing with 1 to 2 mL samples—eliminating open flame hazards; and the eraspec oil analyzer delivers oxidation, nitration, soot, and other key oil condition data from only 10 mL of sample, while also providing calculated chemical parameters such as acid and base numbers.
The German ECH moisture meter exhibited by PanAn also received attention. The ECH aqua40 moisture meter stands out among global Karl Fischer moisture meters for its unique characteristic of not requiring an external carrier gas. This feature brings many advantages, such as eliminating certain environmental interference factors, reducing balancing time, and decreasing Karl Fischer reagent consumption.
